Salsify, an e-commerce unicorn, enlisted Data+PR to elevate the visibility of its annual branded consumer research trends report, which had been in place since 2020. Despite the report's valuable insights, Salsify struggled to gain widespread press coverage across its key media channels. Given the significant investment in the research, they wanted to ensure it received the attention it deserved.
Data+PR joined the team ahead of the 2023 report release, analyzing the data and crafting a hard-hitting narrative focused on e-commerce blind spots to capture the press’s attention. By developing multiple mini narratives within this overarching theme, Data+PR provided several compelling angles for the press, securing coverage in more than 15 e-commerce, retail, and marketing publications, dramatically expanding the report’s reach and impact. The success of this campaign cemented a long-term partnership with Salsify, which led to the successful promotion of the 2024 consumer trends report as well.
Early stage company Namecoach had enjoyed success in the higher education market. The company had continued to innovate its technology product but needed to break through to a broader group of industries. To increase brand awareness the Data+PR team developed a 5-question data study to establish credibility and thought leadership with targeted audiences,
The data project was a huge success! The press release was distributed to 950+ media outlets, and the team secured 16+ articles about Namecoach including four targeted, top tier media opportunities. This survey data also established a foundation for a Series A fundraising visibility and a feature in Techcrunch. The data continues to be cited three years later.
MBO Partners is a direct sourcing platform that enables enterprises and independents to work efficiently together. The company’s State of Independence (SOI) report is the longest longitudinal survey on the attitudes and behaviors of independent workers. Carolyn and Karen worked on developing this signature, branded study more than a decade ago.
Today, SOI includes briefs that address topical themes and trends. Data+PR works closely with the company and research team to design the questions and create compelling narratives. The study is the go-to source of information and we continue to secure hundreds of stories and media mentions each year. In fact, SOI earns coverage consistently throughout the year with no gaps in between annual data releases.
